Why I got a D on my Managerial Accounting Mid-Term.
- Instead of focusing on the concepts, I focused on "patterns."
- I memorized problems and processes without understanding them.
- So when the mid-term had problems that were "different," I got confused.
- Also, this was my last mid-term. I knew I had done well in my other classes' mid-terms, so I was overly confident.
What has to be done?
- Stop memorizing. Start understanding.
- Stay humble.
Conclusion:
- Luckily, the mid-term was worth only 20% of my grade.
- I'll be better prepared. I'm going to ace this class.
